there are many other fine campgrounds and RV parks awaiting your holiday.
Adairsville's Family Leisure Resort is a favorite RV park convenient
to I-75. KOA Kampgrounds are found in Calhoun, Ringgold, Trenton and
Cartersville. Also in Cartersville is the Allatoona Landing Marine Resort
on Lake Allatoona.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains thousands of secluded lakeside
campsites on two area lakes - Allatoona and Carters. Call their nationwide
reservation number toll free 1-877-444-6777. Reservations must be made
five days in advance and can be made for any Corps lake in the U.S.
Camp in Blue Ridge's Cohutta and Rich Mountain
Wilderness Areas, around Lake Blue Ridge or at the Sugar Creek
Campground and music park. Calhoun's
Salacoa Creek Park features wooded and lakeside campsites. Cedar
Creek Park in Cave Spring pairs its campsites with activities like
canoeing
and tubing, fishing and a golf driving range. McCaysville's Rolling
Thunder River Company and Campground is a fun place too, with wild
river adventure.
Fishing is the big attraction with a campsite at Rome's Lock & Dam
Park. Camp at Tallapoosa's Big Oak RV Park or Tally Valley Park for
sites convenient
to Six Flags Over Georgia Theme Park. Sit in the shade at Villa Rica's
Sweetwater Valley RV Park. Finally, camp on Native grounds at McIntosh
Reserve, located southeast of Carrollton in Whitesburg.
